Pre-tax commuter benefits
The County’s Parking and Transit Pre-Tax Plan allows eligible employees to set aside tax-free dollars to pay for expenses related to commuting and parking for work. You may elect up to $232.50 per month for transit expenses and to $315.00 per month for parking expenses. Enrollment is open for a period of time each month, when you can place a one-time order, or set it up as a monthly deduction.
The Parking and Transit Pre-Tax Plan is administered for the County by P&A Group, which charges a $1.83 service charge for the monthly deduction. Your transportation/parking funds will be loaded onto a Benefits Card that will be sent to you. Your balance will roll over from month-to-month, as long as you are an active employee and remain eligible for this benefit. Enrollment for this program is available each month. It is NOT restricted to enrollment during Open Enrollment periods.
Contact P&A Group at 1-800-688-2611 or go to www.padmin.com to learn more about the Parking and Transit Pre-Tax Plan.
